Before your visit, we ask you to read this practical information.
For special requests, booking support or specific needs, you can contact us directly on WhatsApp at +39 3312935129. We will be happy to guide you step by step in choosing the time and booking.
If the date or time you want is not available on the portal, we invite you to write to us anyway: whenever possible, we can evaluate openings, schedules or alternative solutions based on the availability of the farm, the guide, the cheesemaker and the company organization.
The experience may be automatically confirmed by the platform; however, since this is a private afternoon tour with a dedicated organization, guide, cheese maker and activities related to the stable, the reservation may be subject to a final check of company availability. In the event of organizational needs, staff unavailability, production changes or other unforeseeable impediments, Masseria Fragnite may propose a change of schedule, a new available date or, if necessary, proceed with the cancellation with a refund according to the established conditions.
The meeting point is at Masseria Fragnite, in via Ceglie-Ostuni 102, 72013 Ceglie Messapica (BR) .

We recommend that you arrive about 5 minutes before the agreed time, so you can start on time.
This experience is a private afternoon tour. The recommended starting time is between 15:00 and 15:30, in conjunction with the afternoon milking of the cows.
Milking is linked to the real times of the stable and to the business organization. In this time slot, depending on availability and operating conditions, guests will be able to observe and, when possible, try directly the manual milking of the cows.
Any other afternoon hours can be evaluated and agreed directly with the Masseria, but they may not include milking, as this activity is not always available outside the dedicated time slot.
The approximate duration of the experience is about 2 hours, but since it is a private tour it can be adjusted according to the needs of the group and the organization of the day.
At certain times of the year, especially in the autumn and winter months, it may become dark towards the final part of the afternoon experience. This does not prevent the visit from taking place, but it may slightly change the perception of outdoor spaces and the organization of the itinerary.
Unlike the shared tour, this experience may include a hands-on moment: guests can try to make mozzarella and burrata with their own hands, with the support of the cheesemaker and according to the organization of the day.
The experience takes place inside a real Masseria and a working dairy, so the itinerary can include both indoor and outdoor spaces. We recommend that you wear closed, comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
In Masseria there may be free dogs and cats. This is a real and lived rural context: if you have particular fears, allergies or needs related to the presence of animals, we ask you to let us know in advance.
In case of bad weather, the visit takes place anyway, compatible with safety and the organization of the day. The external part can be reduced or adapted, while more space will be given to visiting the dairy, the explanation of the production activities, the demonstration of the cheesemaker and the practical part.
The tasting takes place in a covered outdoor area, but open to the outside: for this reason you could sense ambient temperature, wind, humidity or coolness, depending on the season and weather conditions. In case of rain, wind or low temperatures, we recommend that you bring an umbrella, jacket or scarf.
The language of the experience will be the one indicated in the product sheet or agreed at the time of booking, compatible with the availability of the guide.
The experience ends with a box/panaro tasting with products made by Masseria Fragnite, depending on availability and seasonality.
For allergies, intolerances or specific dietary needs, we ask you to let us know everything in advance, preferably at the time of booking.
For celiac guests: we do not produce specifically gluten-free foods and we do not offer a dedicated gluten-free menu. However, we can replace gluten-containing foods with alternatives available for tasting. Cheeses and cold cuts are produced and/or prepared in areas other than those where gluten-containing baked goods are managed. However, we cannot guarantee the total absence of cross-contamination.
For cow's milk allergy or lactose intolerance: we do not produce cheeses free of cow's milk. Our pasta filata products, such as mozzarella, burrata, stracciatella, scamorza and caciocavallo cheese, are made with cow's milk. We also produce some three-milk aged cheeses, with goat, sheep and cow's milk, but we don't have products that are completely free of cow's milk. We do not produce specifically lactose-free cheeses, but some aged cheeses may have a naturally very low or no lactose content due to maturation. In any case, this is not a certified lactose-free line.
For dried fruit allergy: if notified in advance, we will avoid serving any sweets or products containing almonds, nuts or other dried fruit. However, baked goods can be made in environments where dried fruit is used, so we cannot rule out possible cross-contamination. Furthermore, dessert is not always expected and may vary depending on the availability of the day.
In case of serious allergies, we invite you to contact us before booking or in any case before the visit, so that we can evaluate together if and how to adapt the tasting to your needs.
